The field investigations are the second step of the regional roadmap after the identification of cholera hotspots (step 1). They consist in the establishment of diagnosis and identification of programmatic response in the identified hotspots, through observations, technical assessments and group discussions.
The investment plans build upon the propositions from the field investigations to design a plan that identifies funding needs for interventions in cholera hotspots. More precisely, they consist in sound multi-sectoral studies (WASH, Health and epidemiology) to formulate adequate and priority solutions linking epidemic response and control, and development programs complementary to the national cholera action plans
